Nintendo still hasn’t revealed any planned presentations for this month, interestingly enough.
Even with E3 2023 officially cancelled, E3 Week itself is still frontloaded with a week’s worth of marketing and promotions. For all the talk that the video game industry doesn’t need E3 anymore, the industry certainly still seems dependent on E3’s schedule.

Now, Video Games Chronicle has adopted the idea that this weekend now belongs to Summer Games Fest, but that is, honestly, demeaning to every other company that has set up their own separate presentations. There is no need to make it out like E3 suddenly no longer exists, after nearly three decades of legacy making June the biggest date for video game promotions.
Notably, Nintendo of America is conspicuous in its absence. As of right now, the company is actually busy running its Splatoon 3 Championship 2023 Qualifiers. This is in anticipation of their first Nintendo Live event this September, where they will be holding the finals of the tournament.
It certainly isn’t that Nintendo doesn’t have any games planned later for this year, with Pikmin 4 still waiting for a final release date. It still isn’t too late for Nintendo to unveil a digital event, and possibly a corresponding Treehouse Live, for either this week or the next.
